Some specific Swedish words are also pronounced like this but have a different spelling: Kristianstad [krɪ’ɧansta], Växjö [”vɛkːɧøː], Östgöte [”øɧøtːə]

In some Regions this sound is replaced with the tje-sound which we will talk about in the next lesson. The sounds is a bit more retroflex though and is also used to sound more elegant by some. The sound is more like a [ʂ] (kors) than [ɕ] (tjuv).
